Mr. Jaime Mr. Jaime is entering his tenth year of teaching and his first year as director of bands at Hendrick Middle School. Prior to coming to Plano Mr. Jaime was a director at Willow Wood Junior High in Tomball, TX. Under his direction the Willow Wood Symphonic Band received consistent “sweepstakes” at their UIL Concert & Contest evaluations and have earned multiple “best-in-class” honors at several music festivals. An accomplished trumpet player, Mr. Jaime holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Sam Houston State University and a Masters in Music Performance from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Jaime has had the opportunity to study and perform with members of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Houston Grand Opera Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and has toured nationally with several noted celebrities. Prior to teaching publicly Mr. Jaime held private lesson studios in the Klein, Spring, Lewisville, and Plano school districts. He remains an active musician and clinician. This is her third year at Hendrick and fifth year as a middle school band director. Mrs. Pittner graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University in Biology and received a Master of Biotechnology from Texas A&M University. While working in a cancer research lab in the Houston Medical Center, she began playing flute gigs and teaching private flute lessons to supplement her income. She learned she loved flute-work more than labwork. After two years of freelancing on weekends while continuing to work in the lab, she made music education her full time career and is so much happier. She is grateful to the strong music programs in Plano ISD and her private lesson instructors for giving her the skills to make such a career switch possible. Mrs. Pittner has performed flute/piccolo with the PSHS Wind Ensemble, PSHS Full Orchestra, All-Region Symphonic Band, All-Region Philharmonic Orchestra, Baylor University Symphonic Band, Baylor University Golden Wave Band, Houston Concert Band, Houston's Orchestra On Call, and Carrollton Wind Symphony. Mrs. Pittner leads the Symphonic Band and teaches beginner classes for flute, clarinet, and oboe. She plays alto saxophone in a jazz band and her other hobbies are photography and ballet.
